RachelM
Rachel Milne

Director & Trainer

Rachel created NETT in August 2018 with the specific intent to help community transport in the North East both by providing CT services where needed and by supporting CTOs through affordable accessible training and hands on support services.

Rachel is a qualified Transport Manager (both PSV and Freight) and Trainer as well as having over 21 years hands on experience building transport services; both S19 and O licenced.

Rachel originally started her training career in the 1980s working with Unipart before getting redirected due to marriage/kids and building several transport and training services for a charity. She has returned to her roots and is loving providing training and community transport services both for the local community as well as further afield.

ALan
Alan Brown

Alan spent 30 years as a Police officer, with many of them in Traffic as well as heading up the Road Safety Unit within Grampian Police before closing his career as Response Inspector in Fraserburgh. He has extensive experience in public sector leadership, people management, critical incident management, partnership working and service planning/delivery at tactical and strategic levels.

Alan spent 25 years volunteering for a local Community Transport charity during which time he held various positions including Driver, Trainer, Board member, Director and Chair. His proficiency in Charity Governance, ability to engage at every level from driver to MSPs and his in-depth knowledge and understanding of Transport legislation - requirements, helped the Charity develop and thrive through some challenging times.

Upon retirement he trained as an ADI and a D1 Driver Trainer. He spent 4 years working as a Training Manager, developing business contacts and new work streams whilst delivering both classroom and on road driver training, before setting up his own Learner Driving business and joining Rachel as a Director and Trainer with NETT.

Sarah
Dr Sarah-Anne Milne

Trainer

Sarah is a doctor and is completing her speciality training in Anaesthetics. She graduated from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2016 and also has a BSc in Reproductive and Developmental Science from Imperial College London. As a medical student, Sarah spent time with both the London and Scottish Ambulance Services. It was during this time that she realised that the size of the area covered by the ambulance service in Aberdeenshire meant that it could take time for help to arrive in the event of a rural road traffic accident. She designed an Emergency First Aid course for NETT and continues to be involved in the writing and teaching of NETT's Emergency First Aid course.
